David Ross left this review about Deoch an' Doris
The former Hayburn Vaults has now been converted to the Deoch an’ Doris (a Scottish Gaelic term meaning “a drink at the door,” or “a farewell drink.”). It has been given a more modern look, with subdued lighting and music, although the large centrally placed island bar has, fortunately, survived and the basic structure is unchanged. One real ale, Deuchars IPA, was on sale, which is a positive development from its previous incarnation. Having only recently re-opened, it was very busy when I called in, probably partly thanks to novelty value, and populated by a younger clientele than before.
