Fortunately the name and branding of this small micro sets expectations and leaves you in no doubt what you are going to find inside. I would hate for people to walk into this one by mistake as there is hardly enough room and seating for those of us who search it out on purpose. I believe there is an additional outside courtyard area with some additional mixed seating that is accessed via the sideway, but the weather was far too inclement on the day of our visit for this to be confirmed.
The small servery tucked into the far left hand corner supports three real ale hand pumps and four keg taps and had the very interesting range detailed by Mr Fastard below for our visit. I went for the Eyam Brewery Plague, a 4.8% honeycomb and toffee stout and it was an excellent drop in very fine condition. All three ales were priced at a very pleasing for my London wallet £3.90 a pint, and the three keg ales, primarily from Deya and Silent Brew Co were all above £7.00 a pint.
I can fully understand why the local CAMRA branch were motivated to make this one its POTY back in 2019 and I would definitely say it’s worth including in any Brampton Beer Crawl to see what interesting ale option in fine condition are available. But some days you do need a bit of comfort to go along with the excellent ale, and as a pub going experience, there was a lot lacking for me.

As described below, this is another micro type of place, with my half of Kenton Lane Blueberry Hill costing £1.95 with no tasting comments listed.
It’s ok for the type, but Original Gravity next door is preferable.

A little micro/bottle shop with 3 handpumps, 4 keg taps and a fridge/shelves of bottle and tins. Not as enticing as its equivalent down the road, but quite pleasant anyway. The Eyam Plague was nice enough.

A cosy ,small micropub with seating in the front widow and to the side with a small bar on the left. There is a helpful beer listing board showing on my trip three cask ales in Eyam Plague stout,Abbeydale Dr Mortons Claw of Death (NBSS 3.5) and Lenton Lane x Gasman Brews Blueberry Hill. There were 4 kegs beers ,three from Deya with a 10% Triple IPA and three ciders.A most intersting range with some real thought behind the selection and so this micro is always worth popping into to sample unusual ales and beers.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Real Ale Corner

Micro-pub and bottle shop with limited seating at a few tall and standard-height tables in front of the compact counter in a smaller opened-out room beyond. Milestone Cathedral Gold, Kramos from Triple Point and Sligo from Welbeck Abbey available from the three handpumps.

I've called in on previous visits to this end of the Brampton Mile, but this time I was assessing how many Camra pub researchers could fit in if they all arrived at the same time. There are seats for 14 to 16, I reckon. Beer options include three cask beers, four kegs and numerous cans and bottles (50p extra to drink in). Last time I was here the beer was in tremendous condition and it wasn't much different this time, with my half of Neepsend Brulotte not really to my taste but still very good (NBSS 3.5). One to include on a Brampton Mile cruise, unless you're drinking lager, though a group of Cruzcampo drinkers I'd seen earlier seemed to like it here. But if you have more than 15 friends, don't bring them all with you.

A small and compact bottle shop, stocking 150 different bottled beers sourced locally and nationally. Three handpumps, with two in use, so we went for the Intrepid Brewery Blonde, on handpump. Also tried on our visit, a couple of glasses of Ashover cider from the fridge, which I indulged in, whilst Mrs A went for a bottle of Peak Ales Summer Solstice. I was soon wobbling slightly, walking back into Chesterfield.
