Will Larter left this review about Norfolk Arms
A destination pub high on the western edge of Sheffield. There are six hand pumps, with four regulars (Bradfield Farmers Blonde, Acorn Barnsley Bitter, Peak Ales Chatsworth Gold and Abbeydale Moonshine) with one or two guests, usually also from local breweries. One cask ale is sold at just £2.50/pint on Mondays and Tuesdays, with the baton being passed when the barrel is empty. Popular for food, accommodation and the function room for weddings and funerals, but the beer is appreciated too, and it can be tricky to get a sight of the pump clips at times. Service is efficient and friendly and prices reasonable.
There's a pretty poor bus service, the 181 from the interchange near Sheffield station, to just outside - only twice a day in each direction - but more regular ones on Hathersage Road - the stop at the other end of Sheep Hill Road is about a 25 minute walk away, but the traffic can be quite fast. There are better walks, mostly in woods, from the stop at Limb Lane (65 or 272 buses), or a longer one from Hunters Bar via the Porter Brook valley. Better still is a cycle ride from the centre, climbing via the A625 and returning, after refreshment here, via Ringinglow Road. (There's a car park, too.)
