Brilliantly old skool place - pretty much as it would have looked 50 years ago, including the landlady and punters. Decorated in flotsam and jetsam with a smell to match. A small crowd of friendly regulars on our Saturday afternoon visit who took to us despite the fact that in our walking gear and English accents we were well out-of-place. No cask but a couple of mainstream bottled ales from the cash and carry. I had a particularly good keg Guinness at a pretty cheap price too. Whilst not a CAMRA haven it’s well-worth dropping in to experience a real local’s local. Note the limited opening times (see pics).
