The Spyglass is a long and narrow pub that has a nautical theme running throughout as it is in a tourist hotspot on Marine Parade opposite the Pier. The bar is located in the left hand side of the pub where standard draught products can be purchased along with some real ale. I counted six hand pumps that were drawing Sharp’s Doom Bar, Wild Wood, three beers from Anchor Springs Brewery (IPA, Old Mother’s Ruin and Riptide) and Old Rosie cider. Pub grub is available and the already cheap prices are further reduced by deals that run throughout the week.
A plasma screen behind the bar was showing Total Wipeout, much to the delight of an already animated stag crowd. Thankfully the sound wasn’t on and there was some background music playing. The plasma screen in the centre of the pub was showing muted rolling news and there is a dartboard in the far right of the pub.

The service was friendly, but I preferred the pubs in Worthing that are found further inland.
