Fairly standard "Table Table" foody pub next to the Premier Inn. We had a reasonable breakfast here and the place was very busy. I noticed Doom bar available but couldn't see anything else.

After walking a mile and a half to update the review and take a photo, I was a bit miffed to find that there was no Real Ale on the two handpumps and was offered keg Marstons. No excuse for a large upmarket food pub like this. I sat down with my half of Guinness and read the menu. The sign near the entrance said "Find an unreserved seat and our staff will be with you shortly."
After twenty minutes, no staff had been near except to clear dirty dishes off another table.
Nothing seemed to have changed after fifteen months (except for the lack of cask beer!).
I decided to leave and go to the nearby "Highwayman".

A large modern food pub (Table Table chain) next door to a Premier Inn, just off the (A5) Oswestry bypass. Renowned for their very slow food service (for which I have had personal experience. They 'pounce' on you at the door, point you to a seat, and then forget about you!). Real Ales available, usually from National brewers.
