The Drum and Monkey is a decent looking stand alone pub.
Once inside this was quite a smart pub,i went in an L shaped room that was carpeted and had very comfortable bench seating in bays.
The pub is a Marstons tied house,i had a drink of Pedigree which went down very well.
I was quite happy having a drink in this pub.

After visiting this pub i realised i had lost my very thick rough pub book,which i write all of my pubs in when on pub crawls,i was not sure which pub i had lost it in,when i got home i told my wife who said ring round a few pubs to see if they have found it.

I rang a few pubs,then rang the Drum and Monkey,the bar person said they had found it,so i said i would pick it up next week,they said no we will post it to me which would have cost a bit of money,sure enough it arrived a few days later by first class post.

I was so gratefull to the people who run the Drum and Monkey.
