Large spick-and-span foodery-cum-bar-cum-motel. Done very well and looks like it has been lovingly looked-after and expanded over the years (family owned since 1986, says WhatPub), The restaurant/bar is functional but pleasant in an early 90's way. The main area is all about the grub but there’s a little room off the side with sports TV. Good food and efficient, friendly staff. Wasn’t expecting much on the beer front when I spotted the two options - Sharps Doom Bar and Marstons Pedigree – but the latter was in great form (NBSS 4) and I was happy to turn one pint into three. Overnighted here and my room was well-worth the money, a good standard of repair and a comfy bed. So whilst it’s not exactly somewhere to set the pub-goer’s pulse racing, it is a friendly and well-managed middle of the road business with someone making sure the ale is looked after.

This is a very large pub with hotel accomodation.
This pub has lots of drinking areas which people also dine at,there was only one real ale on which was marstons pedigree this was decent enough.
This is not my kind of pub it is mainly for diners but if you have a drink here you would not feel out of place.
