Open on Mondays but only after Spring.
Good dining pub. All punters in here were eating and the food was high quality.
Beerwise, Tetley, Black Sheep and Holy Grail. All in good condition.
Nowhere comfy to sit - as the entire place is given for wooden dining chairs - so not really one for drinking.

A stone built pub in a popular tourist village on the edge of the North York Moors.Popular with walkers, it is dog friendly. An open fire in the bar area, with tables laid for dining in a room leading away from the action.
Disappointingly, the beer choice was rather pedestrian, with Tetleys, Black Sheep Best and Old Speckled Hen. In good condition, but dull. We were followed into the pub by a group of young Japanese language students who made a fuss of our dogs and livened up proceedings. Our snacks were nothing special, unfortunately.
In case I paint too jaundiced a picture-some of the pubs visited locally were cracking-there were signs of community life in the pub-darts and cricket leagues and notices relating to village activity.
