After a lengthy journey from London, we started our East Yorkshire visit at this pub, which was the closest we would get to Spurn Point.
There is a small bar area at the front, with 2 rooms beyond. One seems to be for diners, with the other being a games room dominated by a pool table. A garden is out the back.
With it being late afternoon, there was no sign of any food and there were just a handful of drinkers in the bar area, with possibly others in the garden.
3 real ales were on - Great Newsome Fine Fettle, Timothy Taylor Landlord & Wold Top Headland Red. A fourth handpull had a real cider clip, which was turned round. My Headland Red was in good condition and was a nice beer.
This was one of those places where everything seemed to go a little quiet when we (as outsiders) walked in, but it was a decent start to our tour of Yorkshire.

This is the only pub in the village and was closed for some time but now has thankfully reopened. We popped in for an enjoyable lunch and a very nice pint of Great Newsome Brewery's 'Sleck Dust'.
