This is a grand old listed building that was built as the Conservative Club. Inside it's split into various areas with the bar to the right and a patio to the rear left. Although there are two sets of five hand pumps the beer choice was poor with everything doubled , Doom Bore available soon and one pair unused. This left just Abbot, Jennings Cumberland and Knops East Coast Pale. I went for the Knops beer (£2.09) which was a well kept but undistinguished cooking beer then the Cumberland (£2.09) which was arguably even worse. I was thinking of going for the Green Devil when I noticed a range of Stewart 500ml bottles all at £2.99. I went for the First World Problems, Black IPA, Cauld Reekie and Radical Road IPA. They were all different tasty beers that saved the day as far as this place went. It's GBG 2017 listed but presumably not because of the range of bottles.
