Alan Winfield left this review about Waterloo Hotel

The Waterloo Hotel was a large corner pub that was situated on the corner of waterloo road and elizabeth street.
The pub had a few different rooms inside and i had a drink in the bar which was a decent enough room, this pub was a Bass tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Stones bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Boddingtons bitter.
The pub seemed a bit run down but i was happy enough having a drink in here.
Sadly this pub closed down a few years ago but it is still standing, there are now no pubs on waterloo road.
