The Three Stags Heads is a nice looking stone built that is set sideways onto the road, the pub is a short walk over the River Derwent from the Square and Compass.
Once inside this is a really nice unaltered pub with a few rooms,i had a drink in the bar which had a nice stone floor and small tables and chairs, this room had a proper pub atmosphere to it and i felt very comfortable in here.
When i went in this pub it was a Kimberley tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Kimberley bitter which was a very nice drink the other beer was Kimberley mild.
This was a really nice pub and well worth the walk down from the main A6.
