Komakino . left this review about Fox Country Inn
A pub converted into a hotel with bar, a door from the gravelled car park leads to the bar entrance. The bar is a small cube situated centre-left in a room of flagstone floor and magnolia walls which make the place a little clinical, despite there being some original beams on display. Plenty of seating of all varieties including bar stools which were rather tall chairs complete with tassels(!?) It is a tad warren-like with doors leading to other areas to the left and the right and was completely dead on my early Monday evening visit - the disappearance of the barman after serving me left me with a soundtrack of Smooth FM to accompany the visit. Ales were Sharp's Doom Bar and Rebellion Reformer with a third pump unclipped - the Rebellion being decent enough at £3.60 for the pint. This is located opposite the top part of a common where the local cricket team plays, so if they offer plastics in the summer there's a chance of some sporting trade at least.
