Alan Winfield left this review about The Pit
The Pit is a bar which is situated in the middle of Chapel Allerton and is in a row of shops and other bars.
Once inside there is a long narrow room with the bar to the front right, this area is bare boarded, the seating is tall tables and chairs, there is an open kitchen to the rear of this area, there is a larger area to the rear left which is up some steps, this area is square shaped and carpeted, there is bench seating and normal tables and chairs, plus a few american diner tables.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of keg Theakston Peculiar IPA which was a decent drink.
There were lots of TVs showing golf and the background music was decent.
Food is served and you can drink anywhere.
A lot larger than it first looks.

Old Boots left this review about The Hub
A long thin sports bar, umpteen keg taps and even more funny spirit bottles, plus a couple of fridges of less than inspiring bottles, Singha appeared the best choice. There are at least five screens of sport plus another facing out into the outside seating area, lots of noisy music and it's popular with mainly younger sports fans. There are plenty of liveried staff who are quite alert. Décor, apart from the TV screens is Techno-chrome and there are some leather clad booths at the back end.
