Will Larter left this review about The Peasants' Tavern
I've been meaning to come back to North Walsham ever since a cycling trip brought me through in 2023, when thus pub was closed as the Market Tavern. It's now a tremendous venue for beer and cider, with a very friendly atmosphere. Three guys were bar hanging but one made room for me without having to be asked, and when I moved away after being served he took me on a guided tour. As well as the lively front room with the bar at the back on the left hand side, five hand pumps, there's a further room with contrasting wallpaper on opposite walls, as well as a settle and soft furnishings and a skeleton. A rather damp yard completes the picture, but returning to the front, the place was really humming for 3:30 on a Thursday afternoon and the beer was to die for. I only had a 30 minute parking spot and I wanted to do the micro pub too, but my beer was NBSS 5, which by the rules means I've got to have another. It'll have to be next time.

Now a youth drop-in centre, though it retains the 'Carpenters Arms' name.
