Traditional and welcoming village pub in an amazingly preserved moorland village. Four hand pumps on the traditional bar counter (corner posts, brass foot rail, hooks for your jacket or bag), Toby jugs hanging from the ceiling and bench seating lining the walls. Disappointing offering of two from Bradfield (Blonde and Ale) plus Abbeydale Moonshine. My half of Farmers Ale was ok (NBSS2.5, £5/pint) and very welcome on a warm day with a lot of uphill cycling to get here.
