Malden man left this review about Empress
This place couldn't look less like a pub if it tried, I even walked past it once without noticing. It forms the ground floor of a typical modern and generic apartment block albeit with a riverside frontage, bizarre furnishings with odd shaped and gaudily coloured seats, a black and white suspended grid ceiling, a swirly black and white pattern on one wall, one area had tables set for dining but no one was, it feels a bit like a pseudo trendy nightclub. Décor includes small photos of iconic film stars and celebrities.
A rather dubious build too, there is an accessible WC yet three steps at the entrance, the single compartment gents WC didn't even have a handbasin, how this place was approved to be built escapes me.
Three handpumps, Pride, something called Gribble Fuzzy Duck which tasted just like Pride and one not clipped.
The interior not being remotely to my taste I sat outside on the terrace overlooking the river. Thankfully I only had a half.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Empress
Water-side bar on the ground floor of a newish block of flats in the central part of Littlehampton's extended harbour. Very modern interior: sparsely furnished with a few futuristic tables and chairs plus some abstract paintings on display. Pleasant patio terrace at front. Pride (£3.30, but a bit hazy) on handpump. Honeydew and Seafarers in keg form.
