Alan Winfield left this review about The Seven Oaks
The Seven Oaks is a smallish pub that is situated in an industrial area, this area used to be the very large Stanton ironworks which closed down quite a few years ago.
When i first went in this pub it was a Kimberley tied house but Kimberley brewery sold it off several years ago.
This pub is now pretty much the same as it used to be,there are still two seperate rooms,i had a drink in the small room to the left this was carpeted and had bench seating and small stools this room had a quite a cosy feel to it,the room to the right is a little bit bigger but has the same seating and is a also carpeted there is also a pool table in this room.
There is also a seperate restaurant which can be accessed from the right hand room.
There were two pumps in each room but only one in use in each room,i had a drink of Muirhouses Magnum mild and this was a very nice well kept pint, the other beer was Pedigree.
There were lots of pump clips behind the bar and most of these were from smaller breweries.
This was a nice pub to sit and relax over a very nice pint.
