Chalk and cheese to the last venue where I watched the Eng v Swi penalty shoot out in a much quieter and sparse atmosphere. Felt like an old school venue with the bar on entering a typical hotel type bar. Carpeted throughout with fabric banquettes and comfy (albeit rather worn) chairs dotted around with the bar along the far wall from the entrance. The other bar was not manned tonight and was part of what seemed like a vast space with pool table and dartboard in the far corner. Definitely more older locals venue that know what they want and get it here.

No cask. Had three Brains smooth options (IPA, bitter and Mild) plus some very standard keg offerings.

Venue was gearing up, after the end of the footy, for some live music which was starting to draw the crowds in way more than the footy. Notwithstanding the result, the band here would only have to be half decent to put on a better show than Eng again tonight (penalties aside).
