E TA left this review about The Airfield Tavern
A Premier Inn Table Table annex on a busy training estate, built in 2002. It is a modern building that lacks any charm, very much like the staff who are equally uninteresting and unappealing, and with all the development in the area, you can no longer actually see the airfield after which it's named. There is a large car park, over which there is a good view from an otherwise pointless large picture window in the pub. The layout is chaotic, with furniture, gaming machines and dividing walls scattered inconveniently around to cause maximum irritation. There was a TV screen showing sport, but the sound was drowned out by the local radio on the sound system and the asinine braying of some local females. Badly microwaved slop masqueraded as food. Two ales on, Otter and Tribute, both over-gassed, badly kept and lacking in flavour. I don't think I'll be landing here again in a hurry.

Part of the 'Table Table' group - new(ish) estate pub but more up-market than most. Very welcoming staff (although the brusque "Have you booked?" welcome is somewhat off-putting!) and very good modern atmosphere with lots of nooks and crannies catering pretty much for all occasions. Extensive and reasonably priced menu. Well kept ales such as St Austell Tribute and Butcombe Bitter, and usually a guest beer.
