Strongers . left this review about The Byron
The Byron was a popular pub during a recent Thursday evening visit, but I’m not sure why. Televisions throughout were airing muted football and cricket while same inane dance music played in the background, which I found odd because the average age of the clientele must have been in the mid-forties. The high-ceilinged interior is L-shaped with seating across the front windows to the left of the entrance and mainly standing room up the right to the serving counter on the rear wall that sits adjacent to a snug in the left rear corner. The barman was polite, and the locals were all very vocal, so I assumed that they’d been in the pub for most of the day. The draught stretches to standard and premium keg. A high street boozer, good if you like that sort of thing.
