Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Speckled Hen
Suburban Greene King pub with a good-sized front patio beer garden. Inside the multi-room layout, you find the bar area in the centre, a partly sub-divided lounge off to the left and a smaller dining room on the right-hand side. All parts refurbished in a rather anonymous semi-modern style. The cask ales on offer from the four handpumps were just IPA (£5.05) and Landlord as a notional guest.

A large and well-presented Greene King grill pub with a focus on food. It has a nice ambience with comfortable seating and many tables both inside and out. Easy listening music, board games available, WiFi provided by The Cloud. Three GK beers on handpump. Situated on the main road between St Albans and Hatfield with a well-served bus stop nearby.
