Soho Tavern, Solihull

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Soho Tavern

It was already been a substantial building, but now even more so with the more recent extensions at the back. Very much an upmarket desi pub these days with the focus on food, but there were quite a few other people just in for a drink on my sunny late-afternoon visit. The building has been comprehensively refurbished inside the various seating and dining areas, but there is a very pleasant modernised terrace beer garden to the rear, with a well-maintained bowling green beyond (albeit with the tranquillity disturbed every few minutes as planes take off from Birmingham International Airport). Still has a pair of very disused handpumps, so the Jute session IPA from Salt (£5.85) is about the best of the keg beer options.
