Large foody pub on the edge of town. Purity Mad Goose and a pretty good Tribute on offer. Plenty outdoor seating. Not bad as food led pubs go but better options nearby!

The Old White Horse is now a huge Ember Inns pub with a central serving counter that faces high tables in the ‘bar’ area that run across the front of the pub. The rows of seating up the left and right-hand sides are aimed at diners. Standard and premium keg were available from the friendly staff, but only two of the five hand pumps were in use, drawing Tribute and Purity’s Mad Goose.
Seating is found out the front and also in the rear beer garden that is full of picnic tables and has some huts. The car park to the left is privately run, so don’t forget to enter your car reg at the bar. Fans of cheap pub co dining will like it here and fans of proper pubs won’t have made it past the Plough or the Waggon.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Old White Horse

Now a food-led Stonehouse pub / restaurant, focusing on the carvery, pizzas and burgers. Partly opened-out inside and extended to leave various seating / dining areas in an overall 'L'-shaped layout, all with undistinguished semi-modern furniture and decor. It does do real ale, though, albeit just Doom Bar, Black Sheep (£3.15) and Proper Job.
