A quick tick before the train. Surprisingly high-ceilinged palatial interior (presumably a former bank) with ornate plaster work on the raised ceiling and wooden clad panelling, which in another life could have been a Spoons conversion. The inverse cupola glows different colours which made for a 70s disco feel. TV football booming. Two ales noted, the Pride was drinking adequately (NBSS 2.5) via a cloth-eared barman. Could have been worse. 5.5

Large one roomed high ceilinged pub with a well stocked long bar with 5 cask beers to opt for.There were large TV screens scattered around plus wooded floorboards and an hexagonal skylight with mood lighting.
