It felt a bit like sitting in your grandma's house in the 70's. And there's nothing wrong with that.

This pub was twice as busy as all the other pubs put together on a recent tour around Glossop. This was partly due to the time of day (our last pub before the 18.35 bus, the last one back to New Mills and the train to Sheffield), partly due to the very cheap Sam Smiths brewery product on tap. Only one real ale, of course, but the Old Brewery Bitter is an excellent pint when in form, and this was pretty good. At £1.60 a pint, there won't be many complaints. The lively, friendly atmosphere and the good beer tempted us to stay for one more than we should have, with the result that we were 20 metres short of the bus stop when the bus went past - fortunately the driver spotted our desperate hand signals and stopped for us, otherwise we'd have had to go back for another pint to fortify us for the alternative route home via Manchester.

The Crown Inn is a stone built pub that is on the end of a row of terrace houses.
Once inside this pub looked unaltered with a couple of rooms that i noticed,i had a drink in the bar which was a very nice room.
This pub is a Samuel Smiths tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Old Brewery bitter and this was a very nice drink,i really liked this pub and was quite happy having a drink in here.
