Ticks over with little change. Ales on were Waddies 6X and a Loose Cannon brew (a smidge warm, NBSS 2.5). Ate here and the food was classic old skool pub grub, though it meant we were in the fairly characterless dining area as a result.

Seems to have had a light spruce-up (certainly the bar seemed a bit more inviting than I recall from last time anyway and the toilets were much better). Two ales on, Waddies 6x and Loose Cannon Abingdon Bridge (very good nick). Also 2x Cotswold Brewery on keg and Bass Mild on keg, so a good range of options. A definite uptick from me.

A nice-looking thatched roof pub. Internally it looks like it was done over 30 years ago and has lost some character; whilst the low ceilings are there, it's all been knocked through a bit. Long and fairly narrow, enter to a very small bar with a real fire and quarry tiled area to right. To the left is all carpeted and all dining. Two Waddies ales, 6X (good shape) and Bishops Tipple. It’s advertised as a freehouse and the low price for a round appeared to confirm this (so why have two Wadworth beers?). Food offered, pub-grub centric and a bit of a crazy menu price-wise. Double sausage, double egg and chips with local butchers sausages was £7 (and pretty good), but bog-standard scampi and chips clocked in at £13? Odd. Also a bit on the chilly side, someone needs to let those poo brown radiators warm up a bit more. Overall, once was probably enough with my drinking hat on. Rated 5.5
