a small detached white painted brick pub, with yellow paintwork and a rear patio and car-park accessed from Milton St. Yes, it looks closed, but it isn't!
The interior has an irregular open plan room with a pool table and dart board. There seems to be a little snug off to the side (lights were out) and i was told there is a small dining room, but this is closed at the moment due to a bit of refurbishment. The decor is white and wood panel and it feels very much like a traditional pub, with photos of footy teams juxtaposed with cartoons and Victorian prints. There was no music or Tv that i saw, in fact there was no other clientele - i was in early! The service was friendly and i felt comfortable
Beer; all tap stuff, with a decent enough Banks's MILD - they are intending to have a real ale and have moved the current taps to make space.
With the real ale and when the kitchen is refurbed, i shall go back and update - i enjoyed my stop off here
