A detached undressed brick pub with patio area. It is difficult to date and has the slight look of a former Methodist chapel about it, with its entrance porch and full length Romanesque styled windows.
The interior is a single room that kinks slightly half way up, where the serving bar is, on the right. There are a couple of raised areas, and the place has a pool table and dart board. TV's, which had the footy on, occupy every scrap of wall space. The decor is a sterile kind of white, part walls and ceiling, with the lower wall being in a black marble kind of effect - it is difficult to tell, as it is gloomy inside. The furniture is white painted wood to go with the decor. There is a DJ area, as they do karaokes, discos, ladies nights and men's too, judging by the pole in the middle of the floor. Cheapish beer is advertised. The service was fine, the clientele a real mix of locals, of all ages. There was no music.
Beer; tap stuff with a decent Banks's Bitter on handpull
One for the locals - i didn't feel comfortable here - not my kind of thing really.
