Will Larter left this review about The Crown

Roadside pub on a quiet lane between Totley and Dore. One long, extended area where many smaller rooms once were, but the low ceiling keeps it feeling cosy. The centrally placed bar counter has three hand pumps with local beers, two from Peak Ales, at the time of my visit, plus Abbeydale Moonshine. My pint of Peak Bakewell Best was particularly welcome after the disappointment of not seeing it on the bar at the Red Lion in Litton on my last two visits, and was in very good nick (NBSS 4, £5.10). This would make a good third pub on a four pub route starting in Dore with the Devonshire and Hare & Hounds, then going on to the Cricketers which is only a five minute walk from here. (Buses into Sheffield are from a stop outside the Cross Scythes, which is up a steep hill.)

The Crown is down a steepish hill from the middle of totley and looks more like a country pub.
This pub is painted white outside and i think it looks quite a nice pub.
Once inside the pub has one longish room that had beams and a cosy feel to it.
There were four real ales on here i had a drink of Taylor Landlord and this was a very nice drink the other bers were Black Sheep bitter, Tetley bitter and London Pride.
This is a very nice pub and worth the short walk from the main road.
