Blue Scrumpy left this review about Thirsty Flame

Formerly The Sidings, this place is now called the Thirsty Flame Bar & Restaurant. I was expecting a family dining pub maybe with a few decent beers. In actual fact, it's more bar than restaurant. A restaurant sign from the large multi-level car park seemed to indicate that there was a separate dining room but it seemed to lead to a games room at the side with a pool table, TV and multiple flags on the ceiling. Maybe I just didn't find the dining room?

The main bar was hosting a game of bingo. I'm never a fan of bingo in pubs. Unless you're actually participating, it mutes the atmosphere and you can hear a pin drop. Sky Sports was showing on one TV and was on mute. Another TV was off. There are some of those silly slogans on the beams but I did like the appearance of the room. There was also an outdoor drinking area to the front of the pub.

Draft beers were keg only - Beavertown Neck Oil, Strongbow & Strongbow Dark Fruit, Fosters, John Smith's, Carling, Heineken, Cruzcampo, Moretti, Guinness & San Miguel.

Fine for a game of bingo or perhaps a bite to eat, if you can locate the restaurant. But real ale has long disappeared and seems to be hard to find in Brinsworth as a whole.
