Two rooms off a corridor; a glum grey-painted public bar right and a nicer - if dull – plum and cream coloured lounge on the left. Surprisingly huge rear garden with grass and mature trees which is the big selling point. Three Marstons list in the public bar, my Brakspear Gravity was past its best (NBSS 1.5); annoyingly, Bass also was clipped in the lounge as an addition. A pint of that was a bit old and near barrel-end but better than the Brakspear grot (2). A fresher Bass in my paws sat in that sunny garden would have nudged the score up a bit.
