Signed as a dining pub and they're not wrong for the emphasis is firmly on dining. Apart from national keg brands two possibly local beers are available; Theakstons from Masham and John Smiths from, well who knows where. The beer is competently kept but sows ears and silk purses come to mind. Cream and red decor with exposed non structural beams there's an attempt at a french farmhouse style I think. Laid out restaurant style with service to match, the food was of good quality so if that's what you're after it's as good as any other local dining pub, of which there are many, and it's better than a few of them.
