A 2 roomed Holts pub and fairly basic. A longish lounge to the right on entering, I never went into the other room. 3 handpumps dispensed Holts Bitter, Mild and IPA. Very quiet on my afternoon visit.

A very neat and tidy looking, brick built pub from the outside. Inside is also clean and tidy although it's a bit nondescript compared to some of the nearby ornate Victorian palaces that are also part of the Holts estate. There are 2 rooms, the right hand room is more of a tap room with a dartboard. The left hand room has a pool table and a small lounge. It's a pleasant enough pub and the few locals were friendly as was the landlady. There were 2 handpumps on the bar serving Holts Mild & Bitter. The bitter was in good condition and at £2.24 was a little more expensive than the other Holts pubs in the area. It's a good solid locals pub.

The White Lion is a proper looking bare brick built pub, that is situated on the busy liverpool road.
Once inside the pub had two rooms that we noticed, there was a decent bar and a smarter lounge,we had a drink in the bar which was quite a nice room to have a drink in.
The pub is a Joseph Holt tied house, there were two real ales on the bar,we had a drink of Holts Bitter which was a very nice drink, the other beer was Holts Mild.
This was a really nice old fashioned pub and probably pub of the day.
My wife is posing for the photo outside, but was not riding the moped.
