A semi-rural local pub with a caravan site attached. It is a freehouse and restaurant consisting of a single L-shaped bar with a flagstone floor. There is plenty of stained pine and other timber on display, and there are dried hops draped around the bar counter. At one end is a 'public' style bar with a gaming machine, a tv showing rugby and an open cast iron fireplace. The other leg is more restaurant-like and there is a second fireplace at the apex. Free wifi is available. Outside is a good sized carpark and a very tidy garden with bench seating and tables. Two massive German shepherd dogs make visitors feel welcome, as do the human bar staff. Locals are also chatty and welcoming. Three ales on, I had a pint of Flack's Wolfie, which was in very good condition but possibly a bit too chilled. Worth dropping by and spending time here.
