A very surprising place. Passing a fair-sized patch of tables in the pedestrianised street outside, you enter down a small staircase to find a huge and ridiculously glitzy cellar bar/restaurant, Equally surprising is that they actually manage to have a few handpumps, with Theakston's Best and Wainwright on offer. A long way from a traditional pub but not an unpleasant place for a drink.

An elegant cellar bar in the busy shopping area by Bond Street Mall. Decorated in an odd mix of styles with a centrally placed and very splendid carved bar counter with dryads on the bar back. Weird but interesting décor with one wall a panelled area for a big screen and pool table, there are big mirrors, Edwardian style stained glass next to 1930s deco style brass rails and a section lined with bookshelves. It is quite a large space and the floor is on various levels with various seating areas. Four handpulls on the main face of the counter with a couple unused on another side, Theakstons Best and Deuchars IPA on two pumps each, otherwise the normal kegs and spirits etc. The IPA was fairly cold which isn't a bad thing in Deuchars case but it was probably as good as Deuchars can get, the staff too were very on the ball and the punters a normal mix of early evening Leeds people of all ages.
