Michael Wright left this review about Waterside Bar

Visit afternoon, summer 2012

As Will says, looks a bit lack luster ftom outside, but does have real ale on draught

Not my cup of tea though, full of kids & parents eating plated food with fingers, cutlery is provided, a few near drunks, shouty parents & fat chavs on my visit

Seems to be sort of chip shop that serves beer

Staff were polite & helpful, but if this is the best Hunstanton can do then avoid the town

Not one for me

Will Larter left this review about Waterside Bar

The second of three pubs I tried on my recent visit to Hunstanton (see my reviews of the Golden Lion and the Wash and Tope), this was the only one worth a second visit. Unpromising from the outside, it was apparently the old railway station refreshment bar. There's a screened verandah overlooking the sea, but the main bar is much more comfortable and welcoming than expected, with smart carpet and comfortable chairs. There were two real ales available: Old Speckled Hen and Adnams Bitter. Interesting music (i.e. not just the usual suspects that we've all heard a million times) was played at a reasonable volume, and when I returned later there was a band playing who were quite good too.
