Andy Ven left this review about The Old Red Lion
17th century building with one long public room with the bar mid way along the back wall. A pool table and darts board is at one end of the room. We came in from the nippy evening and settled by the open fire at the opposite end while some of the locals watched the Stoke game on Sky Sports. The pub has a very calm welcoming feel to it and the evening pub singer wasn't too loud to spoil the atmosphere.
Ales on handpull included Hobgoblin, Courage Directors and Bombardier. The food was typical pub fayre at a reasonable price. I quite liked this place and it reminded me of my own local.
