Spectacular neo-gothic hotel, with a genuine attempt at a pub in the front left corner. The bar - the Oak Bar, no less - has three hand pumps with local Thornbridge Brother Rabbit and non-local Fullers London Pride. I went local, although it's not in my opinion a very good beer, though it was in decent condition (NBSS 3.5, £5.10/pint). The incredibly irritating hotel lounge music played at unignorable volume made me glad I'm drinking halves today.

The Whitworth Park Hotel is a large stone built building with the public bar on the left,the rest of the building is for hotel residents.
Once inside the public bar was quite a nce room that was carpeted and had normal tables and chairs,this room was very busy on my dinner time visit,to my surprise there were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Peak Ales Dalesman which was a really nice well kept drink,the other beers were Taylor Landlord, Hancocks HB and London Pride.
I was expecting a rubbish drink in a crap hotel bar but i found this bar to be quite nice and i would have happily stayed for longer if not on a pub crawl.
