Will Larter left this review about Red Lion

Nice looking, stone built village pub, originally two rooms but opened into one with beams and pillars as per. The bar counter is set at the back of the room, with a substantial beam above it giving the appearance of an afterthought. There are two hand pumps plus 10 keg taps, with four lagers and a couple of IPAs, a couple of ciders, Tetleys Smooth and Guinness. I was pleased to see a beer from the recently revived Ashover brewery, Littlemoor Citra, which was cool and pleasant (NBSS 3.5, £4.20/pint). The bus from Chesterfield to Derby, called Comet, runs hourly and stops almost outside.
