A large, possibly Edwardian pub on a road junction, happily catering for locals and diners. There are several different areas with a mix of high and low tables, with the bar off to one side. One of the rooms at the front has a TV, while the next one has a pool table. Although much of the pub is tabled for eating, the main dining area is at the rear with views out over the extensive patio and garden. Cask ales on were Abbot, Castle Rock Harvest Pale and Elsie Mo, with a boxed cider also on hand. Perfectly adequate, and quite handy as a refreshment stop for Junction 38 of the M1.

The Three Ponds is a nice looking pub that is in the posher area of Nuthall, the pub is fairly close to the M1.
This has always been a smart pub that has served food for years, when i first went in here there were a couple of rooms and these were both decent rooms to have a drink in.
This pub used to be a Kimberley tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Kimberley bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Kimberley mild.
The pub is now run by GK and it has probably been knocked into one large room so they can get more diners in.
