Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Never Say Never

Large pub / restaurant beside a Premier Inn, formerly a Beefeater but now run by the small local Elite pubco. Retains its multi-room interior, but with more traditional furniture and decor in the bar and dining areas. The expansive front beer garden has also been smartened up. With a pair of handpumps on the counter, I found the local Larkins Traditional along with the expected Harvey's (£5.45) on this first visit to its new incarnation.

The Hilden Manor is a Beefeater located adjacent to a Premier Inn. Out the front is a large lawn that is dotted with a few picnic tables that were all taken yesterday afternoon by people enjoying a spell of sunshine.

The interior consists of a small bar area to the left of the entrance where there is formulaic furniture and a large inglenook that acts as the only feature. To be honest I thought that the bar felt like the reception of the premier Inn and the piped nondescript music didn’t help matters. At the rear is a vast separate restaurant that was serving early dinner to a few diners. A quick glance at a menu informed me that the mains are priced around £11.

The bar is stocked with standard draught and two hand pumps that were drawing Wadworth Brewery’s 6X and Shepherd Neame’s Spitfire. I decided to have half a Becks Vier that took an age to receive due to the barmaid disappearing to make a milkshake. When it did finally arrive it was flat as a pancake.

Now I’ve been here I will not be returning in any great hurry.
