A typical traditional Holts pub. As you enter there is a room to either side. The left hand room has a dartboard and the right hand one a pool table. The main lounge is to the rear with the bar to the left which is where all the regulars were seated. A massive screen showing music videos dominates the room. A friendly enough welcome for a total stranger. A half of Holts bitter which was the only beer available on this visit was just £1.27.

The Railway is a stand alone pub that is on a side street just off ashton old road and it is on the eastern edge of Manchester,if you walk a few yards along the road you are in the fairfield area of Droylsden.
There was a decent sized bar and a comfortable lounge in this pub i had a drink in the bar which i found comfortable enough.
This pub is a Joseph Holts tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Holts bitter and this was a really nice drink the other beer was Holts mild.
This was a decent pub with very nice cheap beer and i was quite happy having a drink in here.
