Will Larter left this review about Cross Keys

A proper village local, the bar on the left immediately on entering and another two rooms with a view across to the bay. The licensee and the locals were friendly and very keen to talk to a passing stranger. Four hand pumps with three beers on (see photo). I had a dilemma, as I always go for beers from Leatherbritches but I also like to drink local, so I went for the Facets Flintshire Bitter 3.7% (very good, £4.60/pint). This is a tremendous locals pub, and if you're not local you soon will be.

Blue Scrumpy left this review about Cross Keys

Village pub with 3 small rooms. There is a front bar area where locals and their dogs were crowded into on our late Saturday afternoon visit, another room at the rear and a third room off to the right-hand side where windows overlook a valley with plenty of caravans.

The regular beer is Facer's Flintshire Bitter. 2 guests were Courage Directors & Salcombe Shingle Bay. The real cider fetched from the cellar was Gwynt y Ddraig Happy Daze.

Parking in this village can be a bit of a nightmare. The locals were complaining about it too.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Cross Keys

Compact village local, with fairly basic furniture and limited decor on the bar, side seating area and rear pool room (the latter two having some fine views in the late summer evening sunshine). Three of four handpumps in operation, offering Facer's Flintshire Bitter, Adnams Broadside and Hunter's Pheasant Plucker. Friendly landlord, and I appreciated his wry "friends don't let friends drink supermarket beer" sentiment.
