Our final stop this time in Wales was the Castle View in Deganwy, which unsurprisingly has excellent views of Conwy Castle from across the bay.

There are multiple drinking spaces spread a central island bar, such it can feel fairly quiet. However, a quick walk around the bar will reveal that there are actually quite a few people in.

Unlike many of the pubs we had visited in Wales, there was a good range of 4 real ales - Theakston Quencher, Black Sheep Best Bitter, Dark Star Revelation & Spitting Feathers Thirst Quencher.

This was a decent way to end the day. I'm really surprised that this place hasn't been included in the Good Beer Guide since 2015.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Castle View

Refurbished pub, located - as the name implies - with a view across the Conwy estuary towards the castle. Inside, there are a number of seating / dining areas around the central bar. Mostly modern furniture, and plenty of interesting old black & white photographs of the district. Tidy (if small) patio beer garden to one side. Real ale comes from four handpumps: Doom Bar, Deuchars IPA, Tetley's Cask and the local Conwy Welsh Pride (£3.65). Well worth seeking out.

Really nice pub. Clean, bright, comfy. Decent drinks and a view of some derelict building over the harbour.

Excellent pub on hill, with good views over to Conwy (hence the name). Very smartly furnished, with good fresh food often locally sourced, and good selection of beers.
