A detached 70s estate pub, in typical style of the period – functional and with little regard to aesthetic value. There is a patio area and beer garden.
The interior had more than the single bar room that I saw, which was in a yellow and peach wood panel décor. The spacious bar room has a dart board, pool table and there was a large screen TV that had been showing the Charity Shield game. There were a couple of motor bike pictures on the walls, but generally there wasn’t much else apart from a few real ale beer mats around the bar. The service was fine, the clientele a few locals really and the background music was charty and a bit loud.
Beer; no real ale, despite four pulls and the mats on the wall. All keg, but without MILD. I had pop.
A basic place and one for the locals, as there is nothing for the real ale fan.
