Strongers . left this review about Navigator Hotel
The Navigator Hotel is a typical quirky seafront hotel located about a five minute walk from the town centre. A nautical theme runs throughout with a splattering of dated seaside paraphernalia. This is not the biggest place, but the owners have managed to shoehorn a small separate dining area into a lean-to at the front. Beside the entrance to this area is a refrigerated rotating shelf unit full of cakes. The bar sits on front of a small kitchen area in the right rear corner where pub grub and lite bites were being knocked up during my recent Saturday afternoon visit. All of the food was priced under £10. The bar was being run by a very friendly woman who I took to be the owner. Standard keg products were available alongside two hand pumps that were drawing Directors and Courage Best.
A small lone plasma screen was switched off and there were no distractions such as background music. An advertised quiz is held here on the first Sunday of each month.
There was a decent crowd in here for a wet and windy afternoon. I would be happy if I found this to be the bar of a hotel I was staying in.
