Reopened as the New Pin after being closed for more than seven years. I was here less than two weeks after opening, and it was still smelling of new paint. Very smart with traditional furnishings in various styles. There's a snug to the left of the centrally placed bar counter, and other rooms to the rear, and down some steps, and to the right. The walls have a mix of sporting photos and selections from books of birds, butterflies and plants. Four hand pumps with national brands (Bass, Landlord, Pedigree and Abbot). My pint of Bass was nervously poured without sparkler by the nervous young woman who served me. Hard to tell if she was bored or terrified; perhaps just overwhelmed. This could turn out to be a decent pub, given time to settle in.
