The Bull and Bush is a grim looking estate pub that is situated in the middle of the Mackworth Estate.
When i first went in this pub it was an Home Ales tied house with a decent drink of Home Bitter on the bar.
The front door was not in use on my recent visit so i had to go in through an entrance on the right side, there was a corridor and an entrance to a smallish oblong shaped room to the left, which is sited to the rear right of the pub,it was carpeted and the seating was comfy bench type and chairs, there were two TVs showing the Liverpool v Everton game.
There was a pool table to the rear and darts board to the front of the room.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of keg Theakstons Mild which went down well, there was also Theakstons Bitter and John Smiths Extra Cold on the bar.
The room was very busy with locals.
I had a look round and found a semi derelict room to the rear left which was being used as a kids play room.
I like pubs like this but most would probably shy away from it if not local.
